Elope to Vegas

Since you want to take a gamble with your future Las Vegas is the perfect location for you! Since you won’t be going for the lavish event because you have no guests, you can have a quick fun ceremony at one of Las Vegas’ many chapels. However, before you get going you will need to make sure you have the required fees and paperwork. Here is a step by step guide on how to tie the knot in Vegas.

Step 1
If you are under 18, you might as well stop reading now because you need your parents to sign for you at the License Bureau. However, if you are over 18 you will need some identification such as a driver’s license or a passport. If for whatever reason you don’t have any identification you will need to bring a certified birth certificate. If this is not your first marriage, you will need a copy of your divorce decree.

Step 2
The application fee for a marriage license is $55.00. You will need to go to the Marriage License Bureau and apply in person. Bring your identification and paperwork with you, the office opening hours are from 8 a.m. to midnight. The marriage license is issued immediately.

Step 3
With license in hand you are good to go; now you need to decide what you’re going to wear. The great thing about Vegas is that there is no dress code, you can be overly extravagant or traditional the choice is yours depending on the chapel. So if you want to wear something bold you might want to find out if it’s acceptable with the chapel first. If you don’t want to purchase your own clothes there are plenty of stores that rent out wedding attire.

Step 4
Now you need to find a chapel, and Vegas has no shortage of them so you won’t have any trouble finding one. The only hard part is going to be choosing a theme, here are some ideas:
• Graveyard special
• Draculas tomb
• Disco
• Gangster
• Rock n Roll
• Beach party
• Gladiator
• Intergalactic
• Hollywood starlet

To find a chapel, you can either ask the staff at your hotel or pound the pavements of the Las Vegas strip looking for one.

Step 5
If you’ve chosen a holiday such as Valentine’s Day to get married you might have to wait because holidays are a popular time of year for marriages. While you are waiting you can decide on whether you want to have a religious or civil ceremony.

Step 6
The great thing about getting married in Vegas is that anyone can be your witness as long as they are over the age of 18. So since your family have boycotted your wedding you can ask anyone to help you out and I’m sure there will be plenty of drunk vacationers who will gladly assist you. If that doesn’t work out, the chapel will provide you with one. The chapel also has a photographer onsite who will snap loads of photos of your memorable day that you can post on facebook and instagram and let all of your family who chose to boycott your wedding know that you did it without them anyway!

Step 7
Now you can have the time of your life! Las Vegas is a magical honeymoon location. It’s outrageous and its action packed, known as the city that never sleeps and you have access to everything you could want or need right at your finger tips. From sensational shows, gourmet restaurants, and sparkling casinos the activities are endless. You can have fun climbing at the Red Rock Canyon, see beautiful desertscapes or marvel at the ancient Indian cave drawings. Every moment that you share will have a special sparkle at Vegas.
