5. A man really values a woman who knows how to be his best friend.
Don’t be his mom. He’s got one of those. And he doesn’t want to date her. He loves his mom, but you’re not that. He wants you to be his best friend. He wants to be able to let his guard down around you.
Think family. Remember what it was like making forts with your friends, sitting inside and telling jokes and scary stories. Remember what it was like riding bikes and exploring parts of your town you didn’t know existed. Now mature it up a bit. That fort is your home. The jokes and stories have grown up, but they’re still vital to those warm fuzzy feelings he’s looking for. Go exploring with him. You don’t have to ride bikes, though that’s a healthy pass time. But it can be in the car. You can head somewhere and go for a hike. Explore another town if you want. But do it together
