Foods That Age Your Face

Do you know that some foods can make your face look older than you are? Most people do not care about what they eat. They jump on any food at the slightest opportunity without thinking about how these foods affect their body system. 

This is why most people develop wrinkles and fine lines in their early forties. They are foods you should stay away from if you want to look young and beautiful.

 As you age, the effects will begin to tell on your body but can be hastened by certain lifestyles. Stay away from the foods listed below if you don’t want to add a couple of years to your actual age.

Sweets

Consuming sugar more than the cells in your body can affect the collagen in your skin. Collagens are the proteins that help keep your skin young and elastic. Excess sugar in sweets can discolor your teeth and cause tooth decay. Sweets and sugary food should be avoided like the plague if you don’t want the lines on your face. There are not good for your body and will cause a lot of damages apart from making you look old.

Alcohol

The function of the liver is to remove harmful substances from the body. The buildup of these toxins can cause skin problems such as acne and wrinkles. Alcohol consumption stresses the liver, affects sleep, causes wrinkles and reduces skin elasticity. 

Charred Meat

Charred or burnt meat has some hydrocarbons which can damage skin collagen. Eating barbecue is excellent, but you should avoid charred beef or gently scrape off the black colors before you eat it.

White Wine

Drinking white wine can ruin your enamel and change the color of your teeth. To keep your teeth safe, do not brush immediately after taking white wine. If you do, the combination will erode the enamel of your teeth. Always give time for your teeth to recover before brushing.

Salty Foods

Eating salty food causes the retention of water in the skin making it look puffy. Take fresh foods instead or add a little salt when seasoning your food. As much as possible, avoid food preserved with salt.

Processed Meat

Processed meat such as sausages, bacon, Vienna sausages and many others are prepared with some preservatives. These can cause skin inflammation and wrinkles on the face, which are signs of aging. These foods also have high salt content, which is harmful to the body.

Trans Fats

Products which include hydrogenated oil in the list of ingredients have trans fat and are not suitable for your skin. They result in skin inflammation and vulnerability to ultraviolet rays. Avoid such products as much as possible.

Red Meat

Red or fatty meat produces free radicals and has one molecule which makes it very unreliable. These make the skin to lose its ability to prevent the degeneration of collagen. Lean meat such as chicken and turkey and vegetables and fruits are better for the body.

Spicy Foods

Spicy foods can do much damage to the body by causing blotches. It can also negatively affect the body during menopause at the point the blood vessels react faster. While spicy food may be right for you, it is better to avoid them if you do not want to go through issues such as spider veins, redness, and puffiness. 

Energy Drinks

Energy drinks cause damage to the teeth. To avoid direct contact, use a straw to sip your drink as much as possible.

Caffeine 

The significant effect of caffeine is that it makes you remove fluids through constant urination. This causes your body to suffer from dehydration, and your skins will look pale and wrinkled.

Coffee 

Coffee damages your teeth and dehydrates your body. So when you take a cup of coffee, make sure you take a glass of water immediately.

Sugared Lemon Juice

Drinking lemonade can attack your enamel and cause damage to it. Take some water after a drink of lemonade or wait for an hour before using a toothbrush. You can also stop adding sugar to lemonades.

Black Tea

Black tea has tannin and therefore stains the teeth, but casein, an ingredient in milk, can help prevent tooth stains.
