Okay. We know what moles are. But what are skin tags?
Skin tags are usually the same color as your skin, though they can be a shade or two darker. They tend to be a long protrusion of skin, small in diameter, though it can be as large as a half an inch or more in diameter. That is rare. They are usually found in areas of the body where there are folds or creases in the skin. These are usually caused by friction within these folds and creases.
You find yourself in a situation where you have a mole or a skin tag that is in constant irritation with your clothes. And you’re getting tired of it. Or maybe you’ve got a mole or a skin tag that draws everyone’s attention away from you as a person and it’s driving you crazy!

There is hope. And it doesn’t come with a visit to the doctor.
There are lots of home remedies that actually work at removing both skin tags and moles. It takes a few weeks for the procedure to work. You have to be persistent about applying the solution. But it’s not snake oil. These are real tried and true methods at removing skin tags and moles.
The most common method is listed below and is not recommended for use around the eye area. If you have a skin tag or mole located on the eyelid, around the rim of the eye, or along the side of the nose next to the eye region, you need to consult an ophthalmologist. An ophthalmologist is a doctor that specializes in the eye region. Do not risk your eyesight to save a few dollars. Make an appointment with your doctor.
That said, this remedy is safe to use for any other part of your body you might encounter a skin tag or mole that you want to remove either because it is becoming irritated through friction, or simply for aesthetic reasons.
Before using any methods, you need to first thoroughly wash the area with warm water and soap. Then, gently pat dry the area with a clean towel. Next, rub Vaseline jelly around the surrounding area that you will NOT be treating. This insures that only the tag or mole that you wish to treat will be an active part of the remedy.
This is one of the most easy to use, readily available methods. It works on both skin tags and moles. And you probably already have these ingredients in your home.
Toothpick Cotton ball Vaseline
Medium sized basic Band-Aid Apple Cider Vinegar
After applying the Vaseline to the surrounding tissue, lightly scratch the tag or mole you wish to treat. Many have suggested that this makes the area to be treated more porous.
Next, pull off a small piece of the cotton ball and moisten it with the Apple Cider Vinegar.
Place the cotton over the tag or mole. Hold this in place with the Band-Aid. Make sure you didn’t over-Vaseline the area or the Band-Aid won’t stick.
Leave on over night.
Repeat the process in the morning.
After 2-4 weeks you should be free of the skin tag. Moles can take a little longer, but shouldn’t go beyond 6 weeks.
The skin of the tag and the mole will get dry and flakey because of the acid in the vinegar. There may be slight discoloration. This should not be a painful event. If pain is involved, stop the procedure and seek medical advice.
