Women are known for nagging but this time talk in a good way. This will work when you have already taken an action and explain why you took that action until you are sure it has sunk well. When you buy an expensive household item give an explanation, though long, why you considered that over the other cheap ones. The best explanation is cheap is always expensive and you would rather buy a durable item than buy cheap ones which will be need replacement within a short period of time which will ultimately be expensive and tiresome.
